Kent State's Tuscarawas Campus is within a few minutes of a number of important historical areas, including the Ohio Outdoor Drama, which performs "Trumpet in the Land" during the summer; Schoenbrunn Village, Ohio’s first European settlement; the airport where John Glenn, America’s first man into orbit, took his first flying lessons; and the Warther Museum, famous for its collection of carvings.
