About This Point of Interest
As a result of a gift to the Kent State University Foundation by former president of the Kent State University Board of Trustees, William B. and Marion C. Risman, the Student Center Plaza was named the Risman Plaza in 2001.
The plaza itself was totally renovated in 1995 and includes 28 perennial garden beds and a water sculpture that serve to soften the appearance of the brick and concrete pedestrian walkways and gathering place.
