I-71 or I-77 or I-271 to I-480 East

  • I-480 becomes St. Rt. 14.
  • Stay on St. Rt. 14 into Streetsboro (Interstate map).
  • Take St. Rt. 43 south from Streetsboro to Kent (5 miles).
  • Stay on Rt. 43 to St. Rt. 59 (Haymaker Parkway).
  • Turn left onto St. Rt. 59.
  • At next traffic light, turn right onto South Water Street (still St. Rt. 43).
  • Turn left at first traffic light onto Summit Street.
  • Stay on Summit Street.
  • At 5th traffic light, turn left onto Risman Drive.
  • The tallest building you see is the Library.
Directions From the South:

I-71 /I-77 to I-76 East (Interstate map) to St. Rt. 43 North (exit 33)

  • Stay on St. Rt. 43 to St. Rt. 261 (less than 2 miles).
  • Turn right onto St. Rt. 261.
  • Turn left onto Campus Center Drive.
  • At stop sign turn left onto Campus Center Drive West.
  • Proceed to next traffic light.
  • Go straight onto Risman Drive.

Directions From the East:

Ohio Turnpike to exit 187

  • Take St. Rt. 14 to Streetsboro (Interstate map).

About This Building:
The Kent Library contains more than 1.8 million volumes and over 8,236 current serials subscriptions, including government documents. There are more than two-thousand seats at tables and carrels and in classrooms that can be used for research and study.

Parking Information
Visitors may park at meters located in most parking areas, in the Student Center visitor lot, or by obtaining a $2, “one-day” permit from Parking Services. Rates are posted at each meter and at the Student Center lot. Also, most departments offer “one-day” permits to visitors.
